TENANTSPIN IN NEW YORK

New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York. June 13-16, 2002.
A four-day community broadcasting project with Superflex and the Tenantspin channel and community organizations in New York. The New Museum was changed into a small-scale talk show studio. The people from Tenantspin met with different elderly groups, housing organisations and the general crowd that visits the museum to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences. Among others the met with Lincoln Square Neighbourhood, Henry Street Settlement, Ricardo Domingos from the zapatistas and others that came to the museum.

This project was made as a part of the Open_Source_Art_Hack exhibition 03 May 2002 - 30 June 2002. Organized by Steve Dietz, Curator of New Media, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, and Jenny Marketou, a New York-based artist, in collaboration with Anne Barlow, Curator of Education and Media Programs, New Museum of Contemporary Art.The project was kindly supported by FACT and HAT from Liverpool.
