SUPERSHOW - more than a show
All audience was paid 2 Swiss Frank when they entered the show instead of the normal of paying 10 Swiss Frank. In the show there where basic descriptions on the wall such as number of squaremeter, wall color, number of max allowed people in the space and so on.

With “SUPERSHOW - more than a show”, SUPERFLEX subjected the Kunsthalle Basel to a precise analysis and demonstrated to the visitors the increase in the immaterial value of the institution since its beginnings. The “Kunsthalle Basel factor” was defined by different experts, whose economic and political perspectives was presented in the exhibition. The “Kunsthalle Basel factor” was calculated based on the average difference between the former value of the exhibited artworks and their current market value. The Kunsthalle's surplus value, however, was not solely determined by economic standards. For this reason, SUPERFLEX also exposed the institution's ideal value. The focal point of the artists' attention was the audience: the visitors was both the subject and the producers of the SUPERSHOW. The exhibition itself was a “value escalation machine” in which the visitors assume an active role and produce a surplus value.
