SUPERFLEX are invited to carry out a public project in Karls-krona by Statens Kunstraad (Sweden) in summer 1998. After a research trip and after the first of many meetings with the residents, representatives from companies and schools, they 
decided to develop a project with a focus on IT development in Karlskrona and on identity questions linked to that. In late autumn 1998, SUPERFLEX propose setting up Karlskrona2 (K2) in cooperation with the architect Rune Nielsen. During his subsequent visit to Karlskrona, Rune Nielsen made a video-
documentation, talked to city planners and received digital plans of the city.
